The theme for this years virtual Gala is "Water is Personal"; sparking a global conversation about what water means to each and every one of us, its importance to our home and family life, our livelihood, our cultural practices, wellbeing, and our local environment. The hope is that by discussing and celebrating all the different ways water benefits our lives, we can value water properly and and safeguard it effectively for everyone.
Water means different things to different people. This year's conversation is about what water means to YOU.
Tell us your stories, thoughts and feelings about water. Join the conversation about what water means to you with #WaterisPersonal and tag us on social media.
For 10 years, we have tried to figure out ways to celebrate World Water Day and our flagship event - the WASH Gala with our global family. We have curated events from Lagos to London, but it has never felt quite the same.
This year, while the global pandemic has caused immense destruction worldwide, it has brought us all closer. Which is why we're excited that FACE Africa family from around the globe will come together for a virtual experience right from the comfort of your home.
FACE Africa is primarily focused on getting sustainable clean water, hygiene and sanitation to marginalized communities in remote regions of sub-Saharan Africa.
We have a decade of history strengthening water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services in Liberia and Nigeria and our interventions have impacted nearly 250,000 lives through community-based WASH programs.
The work that FACE Africa has been doing in some of the most vulnerable regions has never been more important. We know that together, with you, FACE Africa will continue to make great strides in achieving our mission and expanding our impact.
